A 60-year-old woman from Gloucester tragically lost her life in a crash in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision on Whitehall Lane in Rudford at 5:20 PM GMT on Tuesday. The woman sustained severe injuries and was declared deceased at the scene. A 50-year-old man from Cheltenham was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. He was later released under investigation and admitted to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment of multiple fractures.
